Greg, Sarah and Ephraim headed out of Kansas City with the truck and low rider trailer at 3:00 pm on September 19th. We drove straight through to Buffalo. NY in 4 hour driving shifts. It took a couple hours longer then expected because we could not pull the trailer more then approximately 60 MPH or it would be a strain on the transmission. The three of us "survived" the trip living on the basic human survival travel grub including: Red Bull, Gatorade, beef jerky gum and pretzels. A Kit Kat was purchased at one gas station but mysteriously disappeared some where in the evening hours.
The drive when very smooth with DVD player and school work in tow for Ephraim.
We are now at Uncle Pete and Aunt Faye's house for a ten hour lay over and then departure at 10 PM for Bangor Maine. Approximately another14 to 16 hours.
Unfortunately, I have no pics for today's adventure. There will be plenty tomorrow evening and also the beginnings of individual profiles on all workers involved in the extreme makeover. I was too tired today to take pic...download.....etc.
We are off to see the Niagara Falls this afternoon. We should sleep....but sleep is for wussies.
More to follow--so far a very smooth adventure!

Ha Ha! Glad you guys made it to Buffalo ok! I've never had a Red Bull without vodka.
I am officially packed and ready to go.....yes I know I still have 4 days, but seriously I'm stoked. Bought my dry walling tools, packed clothes, cleaned house, drank beer.....ok the last one has nothing to do with vacation/work, but it had to be done.
Now I see why it's the EXTREME cottage makeover. E looks extreme!
