Day 5 - First wall goes up!

Day 5 - The first wall went up today! The plumbing has been completed so the sub-floor can be finished. The porch floor frame is done. We are about half way done building the wonderful "homemade with love" roof trusses. The footers were not poured correctly and Chuck and Tommy came up with an "innovative" way to secure the porch frames to the footers since they could not thread the bolts properly.  Picture demonstration above.

Swans Island lighthouse

The lighthouse is under repair and will be renovated over the next couple of years. This is at the end of our road.
